Keith Richie has built up quite an impressive recording catalog over the past few years, having initially rose to prominence in 2015 with his landmark album Ambient Highways. Known for his ambient sci-fi and soundtrack inspired music, Richie’s albums often transpire like riveting cinematic film scores in the mode of John Carpenter, Tangerine Dream and Vangelis. Titled C/T/F/O, his latest album is an incredible 9-track offering that seemingly evokes a reimagined Blade Runner environment, with its sentient sonic machines creating a vividly adventurous narrative.

The opening track and lead single, “Maestoso”, features smooth electric guitar by Ray Clay, while the album’s affectingly melodic compositions are comprised of layered sequencing, industrial sound textures and crunchy bass-laden grooves. Masterfully infusing technology with emotion – a defining characteristic of Richie’s unique sound – C/T/F/O imaginatively brings-to-mind future urban cities, extended night drives and Earth observation satellites.

On par with his Ambient Highways and Skylines masterworks, C/T/F/O convincingly sits among Keith Richie’s best albums to date. Fans especially of ambient-techno music with beguiling sci-fi themes are highly encouraged to check it out! ~Candice Michelle
